A house sitting assignment in Andalusia was the perfect opportunity to go Urban Sketching. The nearby white washed moorish towns were a pure delight. I also awed myself for a full day through the exquisite Alhambra complex in Grenada.

I passed through metropolis of Barcelona, not quite a Nontropolis in scale and subject matter. However, Gaudi's Familia Segrada masterpiece was hypnotising. I had to get my sketchbook out, sat down on a kerb and tuned in. Time slowed down and the hectic tornado of tourists that surrounded me faded into the background as the sacred geometry of the cathedral radiated it's magic and manifested on the page in a style of its own.
