What is Urban Sketching?

Urban Sketching is the practice of sketching urban environments from observation on location. 

For Marcello, urban sketching is a process of observing, absorbing, and expressing this experience of an urban landscape. Sketching offers him a reason to linger, the time required to connect with the essence of a place.

The result is not a photographic depiction, but one of vibrational essence expressed through colour, compositions, and quality of lines. Vibrational essence that makes his soul sing.
